BIM CLASH DETECTION
Clash detection is one of the most critical steps teams can take to identify and mitigate potential design conflicts before breaking ground, thus preempting construction issues and rework.

THE PROBLEM OF SPECIFICITY OF REQUIREMENTS TO MODELS AND FORMAT OF ORGANIZING WORK
The task of clash detection was presented to us by the customer. According to the source data (clash reports, technical solutions), it was necessary to eliminate clashes.
First of all, the customer’s team had a different way of organizing the work, in particular the cloud and the format of the data transfer.
The customer also had its own requirements for the models, especially the division into working sets: it was necessary to find one’s bearings immediately in order not to break the system in the models. It was important that several specialists could work on a model at the same time without interference.
Thirdly, in this project, our team did not build clashes, they removed it. However, changes to the design solutions were required for some of the revisions.
MAIN TASK OF THE PROJECT: TO ELIMINATE CLASHES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SOURCE DATA
It was our job to initiate general discussions with the client, demonstrate the edits, and suggest ways to resolve clashes.
WE BROUGHT IN A SPECIALIST WHO WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY NAVIGATE THROUGH THE MODELS PROVIDED
We assigned an expert to the project who quickly understood the models, organized the workflow within the client team, and got to work.
According to the baseline data (clash reports, technical solutions), we immediately joined the project and started working on clash detection
